This blackberry dessert has a soft and airy cake-like topping instead of the usual biscuit-style one. My partner said that this blackberry dessert was the most delicious she has ever tasted. Serve hot with thick or whipped cream.

2 tablespoons of cornstarch
1/4 cup of melted butter For the batter:
Two and a half cups of all-purpose flour.
1 tablespoon of baking powder
2 cups of milk
1 tablespoon of vanilla flavoring
