**Toffifee Donuts: A Decadent Fusion of Caramel, Hazelnuts, and Chocolate**
### Ingredients:
#### For the Donuts:
– 2 cups all-purpose flour
– 3/4 cup granulated sugar
– 2 teaspoons baking powder
– 1/4 teaspoon salt
– 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon (optional, for extra warmth)
– 2 large eggs
– 1/2 cup whole milk
– 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted
– 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
– 1/2 teaspoon hazelnut extract (optional, for extra hazelnut flavor)
– Vegetable oil for frying (or use an air fryer if preferred)
#### For the Chocolate Glaze:
– 1/2 cup semisweet chocolate chips
– 2 tablespoons unsalted butter
– 1 tablespoon corn syrup (optional, for a glossy finish)
#### For the Hazelnut Topping:
– 1/2 cup chopped hazelnuts (lightly toasted for extra flavor)
### Instructions:
Gradually add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients, stirring gently until just combined. Be careful not to overmix – the batter should be thick but smooth.
#### Step 3: Fry the Donuts (or Bake for a Healthier Version)
Heat vegetable oil in a deep fryer or large pot to about 350°F (175°C). Carefully drop the donut batter into the oil, a few at a time, ensuring they have room to cook and float. Fry the donuts for about 2-3 minutes per side or until golden brown. Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and place them on a paper towel-lined plate to drain any excess oil.
If you prefer a healthier version, preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Bake the donuts in the donut pan for about 12-15 minutes or until golden brown, then allow them to cool.
