### **Step 1: Prepare the Mushrooms**
1. Place the **dried mushrooms** in a bowl and cover with **2 cups of hot water**. Let them soak for at least **30 minutes** until they become soft.
2. Once softened, drain the mushrooms (save the soaking water for extra flavor). Chop the mushrooms into small pieces.
### **Step 3: Cook the Soup**
1. Add the **chopped mushrooms** and stir well.
2. Pour in the **broth** and the reserved **mushroom soaking liquid**, making sure to strain out any grit.
3. Stir in **salt, pepper, and marjoram**.
4. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and let simmer for **30-40 minutes**, allowing the flavors to blend.
### **Step 4: Add the Cream**
1. In a small bowl, mix the **sour cream** (or heavy cream) with **2 tablespoons of flour** to prevent curdling.
2. Slowly add a **ladle of hot soup** to the cream mixture, stirring constantly.
3. Gradually pour the mixture back into the soup while stirring to create a smooth, creamy texture.
4. Let the soup cook for another **5 minutes**.
