🧐 First of All: What Is That Little Button?
The small plastic piece — often called a “seat belt stop button”, “retainer button,” or “limit stop” — is a fixed feature attached to the seat belt strap itself. It’s usually found a few inches below the latch plate (the metal piece you click into the buckle).
It may be made of:
- Plastic
- Rubber
- Metal (rare)
