Myth 1: The sound of crinkling foil will alert you that someone is tinkering with your door knob.

While the crinkling sound may provide a minimal alert, it’s not loud enough to wake someone from sleep or be heard from a distance.

That is not a good way to assure security. What if you’re in the basement or you’re playing loud music in your home? It’ll be impossible to know what’s happening at the door, putting yourself at a huge risk.
