Panicked passengers run for lives at Guadalajara airport as Mexican cartel violence erupts over killing of Jalisco New Generation leader

The mayhem, which spread fear at the popular Pacific resort of Puerto Vallarta and across the state of Jalisco, came after a Mexican army raid took out notorious drug lord Nemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera Cervantes.

The cartel violence shut down businesses, forced tourists to remain holed up in their hotels, and has prompted Jalisco officials to order schools closed on Monday.
