Haven was serving in the U.S. Central Command area of operations, where American forces work alongside partner nations to support regional stability and strengthen defense cooperation. Although the mission is classified as non-combat, deployments in the region can involve demanding conditions and operational responsibilities.

Haven joined the U.S. Army in 2020 after graduating from high school in Aiken, South Carolina. He was assigned to Company B, 1st Battalion, 118th Infantry Regiment, part of the 218th Maneuver Enhancement Brigade based in Charleston, South Carolina.
