My Son’s Warning at the Airport Changed Everything

“I don’t think we should get on the plane.”

I blinked. “Why would you say that?”

He hesitated, eyes scanning the crowd behind me. “I don’t know… it just feels wrong.”

I almost laughed it off. Kids say things like that all the time—random fears, sudden anxieties. Airports can be overwhelming. But something about the way he said it stopped me.

This wasn’t a tantrum. It wasn’t fear of flying.

It was… certainty.

“Did something happen?” I asked.

He shook his head. “No. I just… I feel like we shouldn’t go.”

Behind us, the line moved forward. A TSA agent motioned for us to step up.

“Sir, please proceed.”
