A renewed investigation into Jeffrey Epstein’s vast Zorro Ranch property in New Mexico is bringing fresh attention to long-standing questions about whether crucial evidence was overlooked for years. The 7,600-acre estate, located south of Santa Fe, is now the focus of its first full-scale search led by a bipartisan group of state lawmakers.The new effort follows years of frustration among local officials, some of whom have argued that earlier attempts to investigate the property were limited or discouraged by federal authorities. In 2019, after Epstein’s arrest, a tip reportedly suggested that the remains of potential victims could be buried on the land. Despite the seriousness of that claim, the Federal Bureau of Investigation did not carry out a comprehensive excavation or detailed search of the site at the time.
