Following the incident, Madera Unified School District (MUSD) released statements expressing gratitude toward both the rescuers and emergency responders who helped manage the situation.
The district confirmed that all 20 students, along with the bus driver, were safely evacuated and did not suffer serious injuries. As a precaution, counseling services were made available to support any students who may have experienced emotional distress following the fire.
