Money isn’t the most important thing.

When one partner in a relationship has significantly more money than the other, it can lead to tension.

Not long after Darren got married, something occurred to him. He felt uncomfortable and embarrassed because, as a young man, he hadn’t been as financially fortunate as his wife’s family.

“My wife’s family is very wealthy, and I’m just an ordinary employee living paycheck to paycheck,” Darren told us when he asked for our advice.

However, her parents paid for our wedding. My wife flew first class on our honeymoon, but I could only afford economy. “It’s terrible, but Dad says he’s not your money-making machine,” she remarked with a shrug.
