Footage has captured the terrifying moment flames burst from the engine of a Condor Boeing 757, sparking panic among passengers.

The incident occurred shortly after takeoff from the Greek holiday island of Corfu. What was meant to be a routine flight to Düsseldorf quickly turned into a dramatic emergency.

According to German broadcaster WDR, the aircraft had already climbed to a cruising altitude of 36,000 feet when the turbine airflow was suddenly disrupted.
