On a quiet September night in Deltona, Florida, two very young boys allegedly caused massive destruction to a local elementary school’s media center, sparking outrage and widespread attention online.

The incident occurred at Friendship Elementary School, where the school library, also known as the media center, was left in ruins with furniture overturned, books scattered, and walls marked with graffiti.

School staff were alerted after a fire alarm was triggered late on the night of Saturday, September 13, prompting a call to the Volusia County Sheriff’s Office.

When deputies arrived, they found the library’s glass exterior door shattered, clear signs of forced entry and a scene showing extensive damage throughout the room.
