Pete Hegseth strutted into that podium and basically said the quiet part out loud, bragging there would be “no stupid rules of engagement,” like the Geneva Conventions are just woke nagging instead of the thin line between war and outright atrocity. He wrapped it all in culture war nonsense about not fighting a “politically correct” conflict, as if respecting civilian life is some boutique liberal hobby instead of a legal obligation. That alone tells you exactly who this war is being sold to, and how little respect he has for the rest of us.
